Im picking up the mrs's new white monte tech tomorrow.

 

I just wanted to know, as it comes with sat-nav does it also come with maxi-dot?

It does yes.

It works alongside the sat nav and the Bluetooth.

Shows you arrows as part of the navigation and distances as well as showing the names of your phone contact list and IPod tracks if you've got it plugged in to the MDI socket under the glovebox.

It's a great car, I've had mine 3 months now, first petrol car I've had for years and I love it.

First Skoda as well, won't be my last though.

The Maxidot is definitely the way to go. I was hoping it was fitted when I ordered mine and was over the moon when it came with it, the clocks look so much better with it.

Nice one. We went for the 1.6 tdi. Ive already got an octavia FL vrs and I love it, we will now be a Skoda family

Is yours a Tech? maxi-dot isnt standard on the standard Monte. Did you spec it?

I would LOVE maxidot! I put down a deposit for a Monte Carlo Tech Diesel 2 days ago. The deal incudes satnav & bluetooth, but no further specs allowed.. and Maxidot is a spec. Trying to find someone in the UK who would do a retrofit..

Maxidot comes as standard on the Tech so you don't have to worry about getting it retrofitted.

Save your time and money by not worrying and just enjoy it when it comes, you'll love it.

Thanks for reassuances.... It's just that Skoda Head Office and Blade (local dealer) said it wasn't included in the deal for the Tech. Are they getting a bit muddled?

I have read that the Amunsden (spelt right?) Satnav is linked to Maxidot. Is this true?

Yes the Amundsen sat nav links to maxi dot

As does the Bluetooth.

The Tech has both, that's how it comes with Maxidot as standard.

Skoda UK told me the same when I was waiting for mine to come but a couple of Briskoda users confirmed the Tech came with Maxidot to me when they took delivery of theirs before I did.

Just to confirm as we picked up our new Tech today and yes it has Maxi dot. Well pleased.

Love the car so far. The only one thing I don't get is how you pause music whilst using MDI? I read somewhere that you need to put the volume to 0 and it pauses but all this does is restarts the album. Can anyone clear this up?

Just been told today that Skoda have stopped making the Diesel Monte Carlo Tech - now being built as 1.2 unleaded, only. Is this really true? Are there any UK dealers supplying the Diesel on a 63 plate (or 13) ??

Are the 1.2TSI Techs not just the ones still in stock.?

They were only going to do 1000, so are they not all built already.

 

A few new but registered or deivery miles 1.6 TDI CR Monte Carlo Techs at Dealerships.

It works but it is not a 'Tech'.

 

In 'key words' put 'Monte Carlo Tech',  then 'mileage' 'under 100 miles', & Diesel. manual.  the possible 3 or 4 cars 'Nationally' are there

In pretty certain it is. .. It has the maxidot, blue tooth, amunsden+ & satnav. On the third pic it also has the 'tech' aerial for the sat nav so I'm going to stick my neck out and say, it is. ..
