Ventureshield for Octavia.

Featured Replies

Has anyone had VentureShield paint & bodywork protection film applied to their car and if so how much does it cost & do you think it was worth the cost of it?

Ta.

Never heard of that one. I have supagard ordered for mine

I had a complete 3M paint shield fitted to my Fabia VRS bonnet, brilliant stuff, you can hardly see it on the bonnet, you can treat it the same way as you would the paint, so can wax etc. It self heals too ! Rang the same guy to see about having the Octavia VRS bonnet fully covered and quoted me £200

Mmm. Might well be worth considering.

I had it fitted to my last motorbike and it did stop the chips from damaging the fairings really well.

How much does it cost to get installed?

I don't know. I would think that it might be a little pricey, however it may be worth it if it stops stone chips etc when it comes to trade in values.

The £200 included fitting, it took about an hour and half to do the Fabia, just need to purchase a new bonnet badge for the Octavia as he'll need to remove it to fully cover.

Not bad, do you know if it can be applied over autoglym etc?

i was wondering... what is the car going to look like, say, after 10 years? as the paint in this time will be exposed to UV rays, the covered part should "age" in a different way (and slightly change the colour tone) than the rest of the car. Could it result in a different color tone between parts of the car?

Sure, this goes more for plain (non-metallic) colors such as candy white...

It's UV resistant. And if it's damaged or becomes discoloured the affected piece can be removed and replaced.
