New grill fitted today ,unsure  if i like it,

Better with surround painted maybe ?

or back to standard with the chrome painted black .

what do you think? 

Don't think I like it either to be honest.. it looks 'too big' for the front.

I agree with Zukabak. Kinda looks like something's missing too.

Thats decided enough for me then,

i'll paint the original chrome black instead 

Might cut this up and see what the mesh looks like inside the original grill surrounds

don't be mental it looks good, look at mines, well chuffed with it

@sesachc - Liking the lower grill mesh, gonna do that to my standard bumper.

 

The grill looks okish on a grey one but I still prefer the 'Big grill' or a cf wrap and decent mesh

 

You cant compare a Black one to a Grey one! Maybe try grey mesh before you remove it???

I think the standard with the chrome painted black is the best grill for our cars

just mess about with it, it'll grow on you, as when i first fitted mines i did the same as you and asked ppl's opinions and i was about to change it, it's different

 

i meshed my black ones grill, seee what u think of that :S this was ages ago, but gives you a rough idea what not to do...

Sorry not my liking buddy , but up to you if you like it that is what counts.

 

On silver it is slightly better as per sesachc car but to me still looks a bit too wide from rest of bumper etc.

 

And that is coming from my wide mouth ...lol

 

 

 

I did mesh my std front grill and wrap it in black wrap which i prefer. You could re use the plastic mesh and do something similar

but that's a yellow cab. :think:

Sorry, but that is bloody horrible!

Personally in my opinion I would remove that grill from existence it's far far too big on the octy and it looks like your still stuck in the Saxo with a cherry bomb stage

left it for a few days to see if it grows on me, the opposite has happened, i hate it even more now , coming off today and original going back on once i've painted the chrome black

Good taste prevailed...
