Swapping Blackline for Adventure

Featured Replies

Called in RRG Rochdale today, and did the deal on a white Yeti Adventure 140 4x4. Had the Blackline 6 months and decided to go back to a Yeti as I always knew I would have another one after owning an early Yeti 1.8tsi a few years ago. Really liked the Blackline estate but think the Yeti suits my needs more. Things I liked about the Blackline was the way it looked in black and the huge load capacity. But I never felt it was that quick and thought the Octavia 1.8tsi estate I had previously was just as quick and more fun in a straight line and I knew I could park it anywhere without fear unlike the Blackline? Also the seats didn't give enough support and and were a bit too firm giving me a numb bum after 2 hours. Very impressed with RRG, its a Mazda/Skoda franchise and have dealt with the garage in the past when I was going through the MX5 phase. Didn't want to wait for the FL Yeti to come out and wait ages for an order to be built as I quite like the way the current model looks in Adventure spec.

Good choice! I picked Snowy, my new  Adventure up last week, and spent today auto gleaming her,and fitted mud flaps.

Love playing with the sat nav, and the sd card reader is far quicker than on my old Yeti.

Everytime I look out of the kitchen window I look into her and think those  whacky seats are great.

just bought our first Yeti today.

140 adventure in silver.  well our lass did plus delivered in a couple of weeks time.   0

I've got to say it nearly didn't happen as we tipped up at MSB skoda in Darlo to check out an Elegance 140 Demo but it wasn't in!  after speaking to the manager he sorted out a test drive in 140 Yeti (top man).  our lass fell in love with the car instantly.   cant wait to get it now.  it has a cracking spec and I was mega impressed with the drive: very smooth.

we have had four Skoda's so far - : a Fabia VRS (red) 2007 our lass bought that for me I loved that car and sold it for her big sister an octy vrs.  A Fabia 1.4 TDI (3 cyl) fabia a 1.6 CR TDI Scout.

I am of the same opinion as you being a b/l owner for 8months but was worried about taking a big hit on p/x of the b/l after so little time, what sort of loss are we looking at.?

Not as bad as you think depending on what you paid for the Blackline initially. Made my mind up now was the time to swap as prices are beginning to soften slightly as the new shape ones become more available. I felt the Yeti was a safer bet as regards future depreciation as I lost hardly anything on the last one. Do the rounds of the dealers you might be surprised especially when trading in for a new car as the discounts are out there.

As above Blackline residuals are quite good at the moment. Mines 11 months old with 5k on the clock and my dealer says he could sell it for more than I paid for it. there's a dsg on skodas site same miles for 18995. Current yetis will of course lose out against the FL versions when they come out, but if the adventure has some free bits on like the BL it should help. Enjoy your yeti...I need the boot space otherwise......
