I may be wrong but that looks like marks from lime or similar in the water (or could be something else). I live in a very hard water area and get similar after washing my car if I don't clean and dry the windows properly. When I do get marks I use a good car glass polish (not just a cleaner) and it removes everything and cleans them up nicely.

Just a suggestion from my own experience in case it might help

Try vinegar or some sort of bathroom cleaner that removes limescale. It looks like hard water deposits to me too.

Even if I clean with window detergent it won´t come off.

On the front and rear windows, if you pass your fingers where the wiper blades pass, the window surface is smooth but soon as you reach other area the surface becomes rough. Even the mirror glass is like this.

A friend who tintes windows and polishes headlights says many have this issue and he has done quite of few window polishes.

He will be trying a new liquid on mine to see if goes away and doesn´t have to pass the polish machine.

This has been on the car from day 1, over 3 years ago

Try toothpaste or a polish and sealer like Carlack.

A decent window polish should get rid of it. As mentioned its just marks from hard water.

clay bar and lube should also remove the marks. But using a good polish and then a sealer will stop it and also bead the rain off the glass.

Window detergent is completely different to glass polish. Polish is a mild abrasive which is needed to cut through the deposits that are on the glass - a detergent will only remove light dirt.

It's not a seal issue - as has been stated it looks like deposits from lime or similar and will (should) polish out with glass polish.

Has to be glass polish to remove that.....

I always use autoglym glass polish, its good at what it does especialy the new formala stuff.

Vinegar being mildly acidic will dissolve any lime deposits from hard water, as will lemon juice. Should that be the cause.

Don't Portugal add huge amount of calcium into the water.

Certain places yes. I have this like said before, when I first got the car new 3 years ago.

Friends Fabia also had this issue until the windows got polished.

If it were a water problem at my place, my other car would have this also, but it does not and never had.

The guy who will get rid of this also agrees on the water used and like meta55b mencioned, large amout of calcium (who knows if the water used by dealer has an issue)
