MFD Stalk - Not Working - Any quick fixes

Featured Replies

Hi all

My Octavia has the MFD display and the stalk that operates in gradually getting more and more less responsive, sometimes I cannot cycle through the menu functions using any of the buttons (up and down buttons and the reset button underneath)?

The wiper settings seem to work fine on the top of the stalk

Anyone had the same problem and does it require a new stalk to be put in?

Could this be similar to the cruise control stalk getting unresponsive? Theres a guide on here for taking it apart and cleaning it. Try looking for that.

Yep, same process as the cruise control cleaning.

Separate the stalk, remove the internal unit and clean it.

Search for 'cruise control cleaning' on the forum, let us know how you get on. If you can't see anything, I should have a PDF copy of it.

Had the same problem a year ago, opened and cleaned the Connectors in the Stalk and things have been a lot better now.

This post should help you on how-to
