Fastest fantasy Nurburgring lap? (GT4)

Featured Replies

In any car, whatever state of tune.

I recently was rewarded with a Formula One car for winning the 24hr Nurburgring endurance race. :D Managed to do a 5 minute 35 second lap in it. It FLEW! (and I thought my previous best of 6'32" in my camaro race car was good. :o)

Anyone given the formula one car, or others a good caning around Nordschliefe? ;)

Dunno, never been. Would like to though.

6'32" !!!

Takes me that long to get out of the barriers...

Not got a PS2, only a xbox and forza, mind I just can't suss the ring...almost managed to keep up with a guy in an Evo...I was in the bently GT, which (no idea what corner, hasa drop into the braking zone) anyhow...mad old barge, so much momentum, I flew over the braking point and busted just about anything there is to bust.

Might try it again soon in the leman style racers, on the hill climbs they are fab, makes me want to save up, rob a bank or twelve.

I gather you can put it into a team manager mode and let it get on with it - dunno if you can accelerate time too.

Haven't got a PS2 any more :(

I think the thought of spending 24 hours on a PS2 is the most mind numbing thing ever - I did run about 2 hours of it with me driving - A bit in the beginning to ensure me (and the PC in B-spec mode) could keep nicely ahead of the competition. :D

I finished 17 laps ahead of the car in second place. :D Computer could do a 6'40" regularly on "push hard" - I got no better than 6'32" with my knowledge of the "odd shortcut on the grass" ;)

I hope you won't be trying those on your first real 'Ring trip Jason

BTW - Who put "fantasy" in the title?! :finger: :P

I DID do a 5 minute 35 second, but it was an F1 car.... Not a mere real vRS! :P  I've just worked out its roughly 130mph average to do this, and the F1 car gets to 200+ rather quickly, plus it went around bends at 130+ nicely too. Someone should win the 24hr race and get this mother of a car to know what I mean (Did a 9 second 1/4 mile too)

As for the Camaro race car doing it in 6 and a half, I did that too! The car handled really well with medium grade tyres and 6 and a half wasn't out of reach at all. Sub 7 minutes with several "offs" was also do-able.

I think some people need to find the "race tyres" and "stage 4 turbines" option. ;)

boys and their toys :D

Go and drive it for real - you won't want to play video games after that, and if you can do a time half as fast as your record in a real car, I'll buy you a pint. Better still, don't time yourself :nono:
