Was thinking of having a drive to Shark's headquarters in Nottingham.....?

Can anyone with the CR engine give us some feedback as to whether a remap totally transforms the car? Good and bad points if any?

I did the same, took mine up to Shark from Southampton & it was a really good map. Revs through to 4750 & pulls really well in all gears (except 1st because it's a diesel!). I got mine to go from stock to 208BHP & the torque made it for me as that shot upto 325Nm of torque from around 250. Does it change your car - yes it does & will it make you fall back in love, yes sir. shark maps seem to work very well on the CR engines. Took around 2 hours to do the job.

Anyone else have an opinion on remapping a year old Blackline?

Can I be the party pooper and remind you that it will invalidate the warranty on the engine.

 

I would say that shark are your best bet because when I was researching getting mine remapped they were the ones that kept coming up. Now that I'm having all these problems with my car I am not touching my car so SUK can't reject any warranty work because its not factory standard.

Yes, the warranty going out the window is maybe what would stop me.

Got the same engine in my Yeti.

Mapped by Jabbasport to around 200-205bhp and an extra slug of torque.

 

Love it.

Wouldn't own a standard 170 CR now.

+1 - Agreed It's a risk but a very small risk these days especially if it's done using a reputable company & a qualified person.
