Fabia VRS alarm activating because of broken door microswith

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I have a Skoda Fabia VRS and the drivers door micro switch needs fixing which i'm quite happy to do myself when i get the chance. But until then i'd like to stop the alarm going off, as the alarm thinks the drivers door is being opened while the car is locked. I have tried disabling the alarm by locking the car twice quickly, but the alarm still activates.
I found that the manual says the alarm fuse is no.60, I have tried removing that, but the alarm still activates.
Can you please tell me if there is a way of disabling the alarm until i can fix the door switch?

Can anyone please help?
Thanks

That's the right fuse, ISTR. Sure you got the right one? Seemed to work for me for a while a few years ago...
