Hey folks. Selling my Fabia due to only living 6 miles from work now.

11 months MOT, 6 months tax

Timing belt and water pump done last year

Just had new brakes and pads fitted all around

VAG parts always used

All work done by a VAG specialist

Just under 135k on the clock

Full service history and loads of reciepts for work thats been carried out over the year (nothing bad just general wear and tear)

no rust as usual

No huge amount of smoke from the Turbo or strange noises

Clutch still bites nice and low

insurance group 9

always kept clean and tidy inside and out, never ragged or raced either. Spent loads of money on it too getting it up to my hgih standard, i cant stand a car that has something wrong with it.

All the usual vRS extra's such as fog lights, skoda symphony sound system, 16" wheels ect ect.

gets really good MPG (35-50 around B roads).

no modifications.

Drives perfectly with no knocks. dont let the miles on the clock put you off as you'd never know it from the way it drives.

Its still for sale simply due to time wasters offering me the likes of £1500/£2000 or around that quoting "thats what its worth".

 

I need a quick sale as I've got myself a XR3i and dont need this anymore.

No. I think it's a very realistic and fair price (IMO). Most would be asking nearer the 3k mark probably.

You'll always get the trader types wanting to 'steal' it off you, so they can turn it 'round to try and make a quick fat profit.

Well your only the 2nd person out of about 10 that have been realistic lol the other one bought another Fabia but black. At least somone else agree's.

If only I had a job, would buy this. GLWTS, its a bargain IMHO

Even if I wanted to sell mine, I really don't think I'd bother now tbh.

Its been on piston heads and no one was interested. Ebay was full f time wasters offering me the likes of 1500, probably trades men and I've had no response off auto trader, been on for a week now.
guess its the wrong time of year now.

I'm in no massive rush to sell it but i would like to get the XR3i on the road before winter so i can make sure it ok for the summer. dont want to work on it in the winter.

What's 'the book' say value wise?

 

I thought it sounded good value tbh, but p'raps it's worth less than I thought?

 

Mileage may be putting folk off, but that's all down to personal opinions.
