Thought I had better start a build thread as i got well carried away with my mk1!

This is the car as i bought it, well not quite, already done honeycombe grilles and gloss black grille surround lol

Spec is as follows,

Lowered on AP coilovers

Forge Twincooler

Full milltek turbo back(sports cat)

APR HPFP

Neuspeed induction kit

APR stage 2 map

Honey combe grilles

18" R32 replica alloys

That looks sweet. Nice to see something different.

First car ive seen those Bentley wheels on where they actually look good and not just silly to be different wheels!

Don't see many red mk2s either!

yeh mk1 was stage 2 mate. Erm just seems more refined really. Cant comment too much on handling cos it already had coilies on when i got it. Quite a bit quicker though! Interior and features are miles better. Still miss the rawness of the mk1 though lol

Looks really well on those wheels mate.

Little update, decided i want cruise control, mainly so i can use the features of the APR map switching. Was a very easy job, 30mins tops.

Disabled drivers airbag with VCDS and removed, then looked like this

Removed slip ring and old indicator stalk, fitted cruise stalk and reassembled and now looks like this

Steering wheel and airbag back on, coded with VCDS, all sorted!! No extra wires needed :-)

I like those wheels. Nice to see something a little different from the norm.

That 1 pic doesn't help, you need to take fresh pics :) That will be a trek for you to travel, hope to see you in a few car shows.

Latest update, ive had some slight chattering from the gearbox/clutch. Car has had a new sachs organic clutch but no mention of flywheel, assumed it was DMF failing and local specialist said the same. Dropped the box off to find this!

I bet that will cost you a bomb to fit and replace...! Will you be doing any other mods in the next coming months?

Everything is on hold on my Octy :( Wheels bought not fitted, Eibach bought not fitted, HID KIt bought not fitted, plus a few other things.

Thanks to the dreaded weather...!

Made a start on the engine bay. TTS engine cover, MTC induction kit with Ramair foam filter. Porsche oil/coolant caps. Lots more to do under here

Need to get myself one of those covers :)

Get it steam cleaned. When I had mine done the water expansion tank looked brand new.
