OBD Socket problems

Featured Replies

Is anyone aware of the OBD socket configuration/securing behind the dash. I appear to be getting intermittent connection and when recently using a cable that was previously OK, I had to cut the front shroud down to allow the plug to push in further allowing a good connection. It is almost as if the pins are being pushed out of the back. It looks like the socket may pull forward out of the dash, or do I need to remove the trim panels and push it backwords.

This thread shows what's required, specifically point number 7. and associated picture in the first post.

It goes inwards, but you need to get behind it to release some clips.
