Glad u got sorted but it just goes to show there is huge quality issues here,I test drove a new white Vrs estate and noticed the paint quality a lot worse than the mkll, dust under the paint on roof and bumpers. U would not see this on a vw!

Well email sent regarding new car order.

So, my new car will be Candy white with red stitching, canton, cruise, black pack, spare tyre and sunset glass.

I also suggested that I'd love to have the winter pack and rear air bags if skoda and the dealer worked out the goodwill thing.

My request has been sent to skoda so we'll see what comes back.

Well I received a quick email from the dealer letting me know they had placed the order for the new car with skoda and now it's been placed they can push for the goodwill. Fingers are still crossed!

Will still no word on the new car despite the DP saying he'd give me a ring on Monday as he was off last week.

I even called Skoda today and left a message as I really couldn't be doing with their hold music but surprise surprise no one called back.

Really annoyed now as I went into the dealership last week to get the car back (skoda paint bloke had been up to inspect it) and I commented that the complaint manager dealing with the case hadn't been in touch and they said they'd get him too call me.

I also asked for everything regarding swapping the car etc in writing just in case someone else ends up dealing with it or the promises change but again nothing.

Even if they had topped the tank up it would've been a nice gesture.

Really beginning to have second thoughts. Even if the factory get round to accepting my new order so it gets a build date AND Skoda UK manage to bump it up the que it's probably still going to be into the new year which means walking out my front door to a vRS shaped disappointment every day until then. And one I'm blooming well paying for too. I don't mind paying for it if it was 100% but I obviously know I'm not keeping it so it doesn't feel like mine plus I poo scared of the slightest damage/chip/scuff as I can just imagine the "we can swap it now" conversation.

Well after a bit of a wait and a provisional bw6 allocated prior to Christmas I popped into the dealer today and.... Bw5! Woo hoo! Still code 10 but since Monday is bw4 it should go to code 20 very soon. All being well car will be in my drive mid February.

Let's just hope the robots have had more practice in the paint shop by now!

Have SUK confirmed what they are going to give you in way of goodwill? Are you getting Canton, cruise and winter pack thrown in?

Well yes and no. I dropped metallic so that paid for the canton. Cruise and winter pack were extra and never had word that they were paying but when I asked the dealer I was told no news is good news as they'd have expected to hear if there were any issues

So fingers crossed this time next month I'll have a new car!
