Have anyone taken delivery of a satnav (for example (columbus) together with a mitsumi port for an iPhone?

What i am interrested in knowing is if there are different cables available that fits both the iPhone 4 and iPhone5. Or if an adapter is needed in order to use the lightning contact of the iPhone5?

A lightning to 30 pin adapter is required to work with latest iPod/iphone/ipad with. Lightning connector.

My concern is if the iphone 5 with a 30 pin to lightning adapter will fit inside the dedicated antenna amplifier space.

The 30pin to lightning converters stop done of the data getting sent so I don't think these will fully work

I can't help with the cable question but I very much doubt the phone will fit in the cubby hole. I've got an iphone 5 and it sits at an angle with just the normal cable so I can't see there is space for anything else - unless you pop it in front to back with the cable poking out but I assume the phone is meant to sit flat against the base of the cubby hole so the induction antenna works properly.
