Hello there my friends,

 

A week ago my car did not want to start at the first key, in fact all the noise when I was trying to fire up the engine was a click sound from the starter. Friends, and a garage mechanic told me that I need a new starter.

 

My questions are:

 

What part number has the starter I need ?

Can I install a second hand one? (from scrap cars)

Can I do the job by myself ?

PS: the care is an Octavia Elegance Estate from 2002, 110bhp, engine code ASV !

A sharp smack with a hammer to the starter motor might help.

Today i am buying a new starter motor and I will fit it.....

No idea if the RTX one from Euro car parts is good or not.. but I will have a go :(
