56 Roomster TDi, tailgate wont catch unless the fuse for the interior lights is removed! So at the moment I have no interior light!

 

Is this a problem for the ain dealer as it sounds very electrical?

I had an issue with the tailgate not catching, but for me it was a moisture issue. Ok, water. As my rear window spray pipe came loose and leaked all over the mechanism. 5 minutes with a hairdryer and it started working again. Worth a try?
