Delivery pack - necessary?|

Featured Replies

I looked back at my order form and Delivery Pack is listed and in brackets it says Delivery, PDI, Plates and De-Waxing. I assumed this was part of the OTR price but now I'm think not, don't see how I could have opted out, suppose I could of collected the car from the port myself, provided my own plates and taken a gamble on no PDI.

Had a salesman at Motorvogue in Northampton tell me once that they give more in p/x if a car had been Supaguard, Guard X etc treated..,,,

Never been pressured into taking or been assumed that I would have such things at Progress, another reason I bought Skoda and not Seat

So am I right in thinking this delivery pack is distinct and separate from the delivery charge on the price breakdown?

Yes! The delivery charge is included in the OTR price.

Just looked at my paperwork from Sparshatts in Fareham.

I have a separate piece of paper for me to sign that states 'I can confirm that I have been offered a Sparshatt's Delivery Pack for my new car which I understand includes fitted carpet mats and £20 of fuel. Please do/ do not add £50 to my invoice for the Sparshatt's Delivery Pack'.

On the Vehicle Order paperwork I have a line under the heading Pre - Tax Items of Delivery £425.00

Also noticed Post - Tax Items it states RFL £55.00. Is this Road Fund Licence? My vRS is Band C on Road Tax of £0.00 for first 12 months then £30.00 thereafter.

?

I have the same on mine from the same dealer, but different branch

I have £425 for delivery also on my order and a £55 first reg fee...

Always agree an OTR price when buying a car. Some dealers may list RFL, delivery, etc as separate items but who cares if the total price is what you agreed.

Dealers have been warned that OTR costs must not be included in a 'dealer pack'. If they won't give you the OTR price separately, complain to SUK.
