Citigo Sport on PCP

Featured Replies

What sort of monthly payments, final value have people been offered.

Thinking around £2000- £2500 deposit

The Sport might be too expensive, so any SE prices would similarly be useful to me.

Just want to go into a dealer with a realistic idea as Skoda website won't calculate finance. (Though £2400 down on an SE is £69 / month - so answers second part more or less!)

Thanks

Final value of an elegance is about £4k

On a sport with zero deposit 155 a month, 5k future value!

I got one from lookers Manchester. Put 1k down at 12k per year over 42 months and got it for 112pcm. Plus 15 quid for the alloys and gap insurance. Mgfv is about 4k.

I got mine from lookers Manchester too.

£119 deposit £129pm over 42 including gap.

GVFV was about £4600 (roughly) based on 5k per year.

I am not a financial advisor but....

With the 0% PCP Skoda are offering if you have money for a noteable deposit, whether from savings or trade in value for your car, you are better off keeping that money in a savings account accruing interest (even though interest rates are currently low you will always get more than 0%!).  The balloon payment at the end will always be about the same.  Of course this will increase the monthly payments for the car.  Basically hold onto the deposit to the end of the finance deal.

I am doing just this, the difference being I have calculated the interest I will earn over the 42 months PCP period will be worth £300 ish, or in other words pay for the 4/5 year warranty.

Don't forget the skoda PCP can be taken for up to 42 months.

I got my sport on pcp for 36months with a p/x to the value of £2300 which was my whole deposit didn't put anything else on top and I pay £99pm with 8k miles and future value of around £4600.

On a sport with zero deposit 155 a month, 5k future value!

Snap! Same here. Dealer had a £250 incentive voucher, which I used as the deposit.

Thanks for the replies.

I'm looking to trade in my mx5 - which is immaculate - I have to reduce the family outgoings, I get 30mpg from it and road tax is around £200. 3 years servicing, better fuel economy and virtually no road tax will help - plus I get 4 seats, so I can take both my sons out in it (or is that a down side!?) I have finance on the mx5, so paying that off should leave me at around the £2500 mark. Maybe I should be more sensible and get the SE, but adding a couple of extras, and a difference in GFV it may be a false econmy

Adding extras to a car is generally not a good idea financially as most make no difference to the gfv/trade in value at the end. It normally makes more sense to get a higher sped'd model as you will get more for that on Pro rata basis. There are exceptions to this, safety related upgrades and leather on more upmarket cars etc but generally if you add extras you'll get little or nowt back compared to what they cost, only the pleasure of using them through the time you own the car
