Guys,

I'm looking to replace the standard CD player with a replacement OEM upgrade. I didn't realise that there was quite so many choices on offer and as such I'm unsure of which route to take. I am not massively concerned with having a Sat Nav unit, however DAB would be a nice addition, I've seen on previous threads that people have retro fitted a RCD510DAB from a Golf I believe? Has anyone got other suggestions that are a better option?

Is there any modification required to the existing fascia panel to fit a different unit, and will I require any upgrades to the aerial system?

Many thanks in advance,

Rich

If you want an OEM solution and aren't fussed about DAB, then IMO the answer's no, the RCD is the best option, mainly because they're a cost effective way of adding an OE spec DAB solution.

You will need an aerial, either glass mount (£30), aftermarket DAB/FM (from £50) or an OE GPS/DAB/FM aerial which will be £100+

If you've got a Stream or Bolero, you'll need the replacement dash panel which is the one designed to fit the Columbus.

Any links for the dash panel? I can only find the one for the climate control fascia. It looks different to mine
