Indicator Issue

Featured Replies

Hi everyone

Sorry for posting this as new thread, as I have seen quite a lot of discussion  on this topic.

But I was hoping for a bit of help, just started having some indicator problems on my octy MKII, it is only intermittent at the moment, some times when i indicate nothing happens at all, some times when i indicate right, the left indicator starts to flash. ( all Bulbs are fine ) all is working fine again at the moment, but im sure this is not the end of it.

I noticed in other discussions, that people suggest changing the hazard switch, as its also a relay, they also say that they needed to replace the whole indicator stalk, or clean with contact spray,

I was hoping to try the cleaning with contact spray first to see if this would sort it out until such times as I can get the stalk fixed.

My question is, is it possible to get at the contacts on stalk without removing steering wheel and also could I use just normal WD-40 or should I get some proper contact spray for the job.

Many thanks for any help on this matter,

EDIT- Just noticed that I posted this in the wrong section, sorry all... brain must not be activated properly or something.
