My Mrs has a 55 plate Polo GT, it's the 1.9 TDi 130 BLT engine code, which I believe is the same as the vRS Fabia.  Anyway the original EGR failed about 6 weeks ago and I managed to find a low mileage Fabia vRS EGR to replaced it.  Everything was fine for a couple of weeks but now when you rev the engine it makes a screeching noise. 

 

Is this the EGR or have I dislodged some pipework or is it just coincidence?  Any help greatly appreciated!!

sounds like the pipe from cooler to egr has split 

i have these off my car if you need them all good as i removed egr and cooler on my blt ibiza

Thanks, I'll have a look at some point over the weekend.  Is it the pipe that bolts on underneath?  Are they easy to change?

Can you do a recording of the sound?

I'll try but when I drove it over the weekend it is screaching less.  I can only assume it's to cooler pipework as that was all I disturbed when changing the EGR valve.
