Featured Replies

Anyone with cai noticed your starts running weird when it's wet ? I looked down behind the near side front bumper to see water on top of my air filter if so what did u use to cure the problem any advice would be much appreciated

Don't drive through massive puddles?

Failing that remove it?

Water and engines don't mix very well...

First find out where water is coming from, maybe a leak in coolant somewhere or after a car wash etc etc.

If you live in areas of flooding or high water then remove the CAI as you will be forever driving to avoid the large puddles or risk of hydro locking engine .

I drive sensible around areas that maybe a risk and have never had issues but if you can't do that then advise would be remove and fit std airbox buddy. Also in cold weather should not get condensation or water on filter and the normal rain water flow should not effect filter or air flow

But as stated identify why it is getting wet.

I didnt need a cure, I left the airbox on!

It's just spray off the roads getting in behind the plastic wheelarce linners think I'll just remove and put the cone filter under the bonnet

I would`nt do that, you`ll get heatsoak and lose power.

Defeats object of a CAI if you remove the Cold air  bit and plonk direct on a MAF. These 1.8T cars don't work well with that.
