When I try to download the Parrot Neo update file onto my PC I get the following message "this file does not have a program associated with it for performing this action. Please install a program or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Programs control panel".

I can't remember a program being provided with the Parrot when I first bought it (new) some time ago. I have gone to the control panel and opened the default programs page but can't work out what to do next. I have looked at each of the available sections but nothing is coming up that seems to be the answer. The file extension for the update file is .plf

 

Any suggestions short of buying a new car with built in Bluetooth would be appreciated. Thanks.

Have a look at the Parrott website – there should also be a Parrott Software Update Tool as well which I think you’ll need to install before re-flashing the handfree kit.

 

I certainly had to do this when I updated by CK3200 LS Colour…

For the newer parrot kits which have a USB connection iirc you put the update file on a USB stick, plug it in to the parrot and the go through the menu to something like settings - update
