55 reg Octavia L&K estate 2.0 TDI PD140 lots of upgrades to vRS spec - SOLD

Featured Replies

NOW SOLD.

Sadly, I am selling my beloved Octy. I have just bought a ex demo mkIII Octy, so wanted to give first refusal to fellow Briskodians on a rare model with lots of performance upgrades, as well as some special upgrades to 2007 model spec. Up for sale now, this is a bit of a one off, and would suit an enthusiast who is prepared to take the modding to the next level.

So, basic details are
MkII Octavia Estate in Silver, registered October 2005 on a 55 plate. I am the third owner, and I purchased from a skoda dealer, who had sold it to the 2nd owner and it had come back as a trade in. Usual L&K spec, detailed below. 6 speed manual PD140 2.0TDI. Currently 173k miles, I have all the MoT certificates, and it has never had a fail or an advisory. Tax and test to Sept 2014. Full service history and lots of receipts for non service items such as wheel bearings, top mounts etc. DMF and clutch were replaced by the dealer I bought from as part of the sale 3 years ago at 115k. Turbo has been replaced 3 months ago and has a 2 year warranty, oil feed and return where done at the same time. Next service due at approx 183k.

L&K spec-
Full leather
Maxidot
Memory seat and mirrors
Cruise control
Tunnel lights
Auto rain sensing wipers
Headlight washers
16" Vega alloys, including spare
Multi Function steering wheel
Variable boot floor
6 CD multi changer
Auto dimming rear view mirror and both wing mirrors
Coming and leaving home lights
Puddle lights
Dual zone climate
Heated front seats
Jumbo box centre console

Now for the good bits - the upgrades!
Shark Performance Stage 1 remap - approx 185 bhp and 290lb ft torque - better than a PD170 vRS
Darkside EGR delete including removal of EGR cooler, all mapped out correctly by Ben at Shark
312mm vRS front disc brakes
Bilstein B12 suspension, Bilstein shocks and Eibach springs - sits slightly lower than a stock vRS
18" Zenith vRS alloys with Continental Sport Contact 5 tyres like new, loads of tread, only been on 6 months
Original 16" alloys with continental winter tyres, these are in storage at the moment.
HID (Xenon) upgrade to headlights
Bolero touch screen head unit with SD card slot and inbuilt 6CD autochanger
Dension Gateway 5 MDI and Bluetooth kit - hands free integrated with the bolero, aux in, USB in, iPod Dock, A2DP Bluetooth audio streaming
Upgraded CAN gateway to stop battery drain with bolero or Columbus
Upgraded central electronics module so has cornering fogs like face lift models
Upgraded convenience module so has auto rain closing and the convenience menu in Maxidot
Both rear fogs enabled
Both reversing lights enabled
Brake light flash on emergency stop enabled
LED interior lights
LED puddle lights
Plastic Skoda boot liner
Skoda dog guard

So, as can be seen, a rare spec car with lots of upgrades, some of which are fairly unique and never available at this model year. No expense has been spared on maintenance, and genuine parts used for servicing and cam belts.

This is a car for an enthusiast, next steps would be an upgraded rear anti roll bar and anti lift console bushes to refine the handling even more.

Most of my mileage is long distance motorway, and this car drives and looks better than many I have seen with half the mileage and years younger.

I will post piccies soon, but if you are seriously interested then PM me. I am in East Lancs but work in Manchester 3 days a week if you want to meet up.

Looking for £3k for it, but might sell for less without the 18" rims as I have people wanting first refusal on them.

This is well below what I think the car is worth, but the buyer will need to do the Cambelt at 180k, and the tailgate has a deep scratch that I have been quoted verbally £250-300 to rectify.

Sounds like a great spec Andy - is there anything anywhere about upgrading the CCM on older mk2s to get stuff like DRL/cornering fog activation etc? Its something I've wondered about but not seen anything to tell me how its done?!

Cheers
Dave

It's dead easy to swap them, getting the coding right took months of trial and error and comparing codes of late pre FL models until I hit on the right bits to change. At one point the fuel filler wouldn't open without an extra blip of the remote until I got the coding spot on!

For those that have PMd me for pictures, all I can find is this one. I'll get some good ones at the weekend if it isn't raining too much.

Update - original post modified, price reduced to £3k for a sale now - this is a bargain as there are £1500 worth of upgrades.

Buyer will need to do the Cambelt at 180k and rectify a scratch on the tailgate that should cost £250 from the quotes I have had.

PM if you are interested, I will get some photos before it goes dark.

Please keep in mind it has been raining here so had to take the photos in Asda's underground car park, and I haven't cleaned the car out, this is how it is normally kept. I've been too busy looking at new ones today!

Oh, all the crap under the variable boot floor is not included in the sale  :giggle:

Phone calls are coming in from the Autotrader listing, surely a Briskodian wants first refusal!

I would swap my standard L&K for this beauty.

Great spec and a really good price.

GLWTS

Just for fun Mike - Remember that L&K you kindly had a look at on my behalf? If only this was available then :giggle:

When does the new one arrive, Andy?

Mike

I could pick it up on Saturday if I wanted to, but don't want 2 cars on the drive!

Insuring both would be a pain though ..........

There's no way I wouldn't be picking up the new one if it was available

Insure the new one and keep it on the road (or a neighbours drive if poss?) keep the current one uninsured on the drive. At the price your selling it isn't going to take long to sell. As a back up stick it on ebay and see what happens (you don't have to sell it unless it meets the reserve). Could all be sorted within a week. I bet you are going potty not driving the new one?

This is exactly what I was looking for but unless I sold our current 07 L&K I cant justify buying yours

Just to add I bought the 1.9 5 speed thinking it was for the best all round but wish I had gone for the 2.0 6 speed. Just in case anyones thinking about it, just buy it.

Things are moving quickly so I might pick up the new one yet as they do 7 days insurance to cover any change over period anyway.................

It's like waiting for Christmas lol
