Having owned 3 1.8ts to get DV noise you just put a cold air intake and massive cone filer...

 

Is this the same with fabias as i heard a touran and it made a loud dove like noise.

also exhaust is there any that sound nice on a vrs diesel?

The dove noise Is when you decat the car, some get it and some don't. Miltek, piper both sound good but do does chopping the back box out and replacing it with a straight pipe !

As for the dump valve a cone filter gives a nice chatter when you let off the loud pedal

Mufflerectomy (straight pipe instead of back box) is alot cheaper too, only paid £100 with a tip of my choice

Whatever you do, it's a diesel engine so it will still sound like a tractor.

I have the piper exhaust system without a silencer and it sounds like a spitfire absolutely superb for a diesel

Is this the posh mans pigeon noise

I'd rather amputate my own winky than have my car make this noise.

 

IMHO of course. Some people ****ing love that their car sounds like an old 1980's DAF coal lorry.
