Alternative to Skoda green caliper paint

Featured Replies

Which of these on the chart looks the most like the standard skoda green on the calipers?

I maybe a crash test dummy and take a punt and see how the colour fairs.

I'm thinking #6018 or #6024???

Would like to order some tonight so there's a chance I'll get it at the weekend.

Cheers

Ford Modena Green.  Honestly I think it's the identical colour.  As found on the Capri RS3100...

I cants see that colour on the chart?

Sorry in answer to your question, definitely not #6018, possibly #6024 is closer, or see my first post. :p

Got to agree #6024

6024 doesnt look far off tbh. Theres always homebase windsor green garage door paint that is identical.

Thanks.

windsor green garage door paint is that suitable for cailipers?

I dont have a homebase near me :(

I might try that Windsor door paint, I was going to do my callipers black or red as the green I used had started to look tatty again

Don't know how to post links but someone on here used 6037

Look at this on eBay:

HIGH QUALITY GERMAN CALIPER PAINT PURE GREEN 6037 250ML

I personally think it started out closer to #6010 or #6017 but after time ends up being closer to #6018.

I've just done mine 'garden green' fast dry enamel from wilkos, its nothing like the standard colour!

But imo looks better as its brighter ;)

Yeah was fine on mine

got my 312 calipers refurb'd n powder coated black gloss... keeps them looking nice and subtle.

Why not just get a paint shop to mix the correct one Pantone 348.

Do halfords make the caliper paint with a paint code?

Do halfords make the caliper paint with a paint code?

Should do

The only problem in using Garage door paint or Hammerite  (smooth green if you can find) is will they be able to stand up to the high temperatures generated by the brakes.

As mentioned above Pantone 348 looks a good match to Skoda Minz Green. If you get it made you can ask to make sure it suitable for brakes.

I can vouch - I much prefer this to standard!

Soz took so long!

Colour matches the green in my PastyBoy badges spot on ;)

Looks lighter in pics due to flash.
