Whats this icon on my Maxidot

Featured Replies

Does anybody know what this icon, the one to the left of the bluetooth icon, means. It appeared on my Maxidot display after I was playing around trying to get the internet connection working via Rsap as per the vague instructions in the manual. It appears for a few minutes but then disappears until I go through the whole process again so probably something to do with internet access but need less to say I do not have internet access.

EDIT*******  I think I`ve just worked it out. It could be the indicator that my bluetooth visibility is active.

As in 3G.

The eye symbol?

This is where the manuals fall down - poor at identifying things like this. It's not the actual BT connection ...that's the two triangles, on a tripod, on its side (so one triangle above the other) as you've got. But the grouping suggests it is a BT function. And it is...it's showing your BT is in 'discovery' mode.

Comes in when you start the car, and it should disappear after about five minutes. But basically it's saying your system is still hunting other BT devices. You can turn it off (so your phone connects but discovery doesn't activate) in settings so 'discovery' isn't automatic.

Thanks guys. I did mean the eye symbol yes. Thanks Brocky I did think in the end it was in discovery mode or visibility as the car calls it in the menu, it made sense when I thought about it.

I just have to work out how I can get internet access in RSAP mode so I can listen to my Tunein radio app or alternatively find a Bluetooth module that allows me to switch between handsfree and RSAP modes "on the fly" if that makes sense
