  • Because a high car looks like ****. if i want a high car i would buy a Land rover. Have NEVER had a car without Lowering and big Wheels. when i get around 87 years i will consider driving on Stock sus

  • No spacers wheelsize is 8,5x19 and ET is 40 tiresize is 225/35-19 and it fits like a glove, nothing sticks out    The wheel is Concave maybe thats why you think it looks like i have spacers on

  • Look forward to pics guys, Ive Eibach springs but they don't lower as much as the HR so will be interesting to see difference.   This pic is from Eibach, with lowering springs fitted.

Just a little update regarding the Eibach lowering springs.

I looked in to these the other night and found that eibach themselves state a different part number. On the VRS it will lower the front by 20mm and rear by 10mm, Ill try find the part number again for anyone interested in those.

I've just been speaking to Graeme at GNJ about H&R lowering springs for the vRS and he's sorted a price for us if anyone is interested

RRP on the H&R 40mm springs is £214.79

I can do them for Briskoda members for £193 delivered.

There's subtle low and stupid low. I think you have your car about right. I was referring to Rob's photoshop which I think we both agree was too low. I would consider these springs myself, along with spacers to get a slightly more planted stance.

Quick research and found the H&R springs with a photo of the vRS hurupa3u.jpg Will be ordering today :D I reckon it will need spacers aswell

Hi Rob, Did you go for the springs and spacers?

I haven't gone for spacers, going to lower it first and see what its like as the bearing concerns me by putting spacers on.

Gone for the H&R springs

Robfab, have you got a part number for the H&R springs?

Yes, 28833-2 if i remember correctly. If you google h&r 28833-2 should come up with them

Do you know if thats the 20mm on front and 10mm in back?

According to website, it Lowers Front 25 mm & Rear 20 mm.

Do you have a link?

Sorry for all questions, just may have changed my mind haha as eibach are more likely to be skoda approved if they ever do it.

Thanks, I'm confused cause thats a different part number to on Eibach website haha. Iv sent an email any how.

Thanks

Rob

Does anyone have any feedback on ride quality after fitting either the Eibach or H&R springs? Additionally, do you need to have spacers?

I want the look, but not a worse ride (if possible!)

Thanks

Rob, I spoke to spring loaded who in turn contacted Eibach and came back with the kit linked. I then to confirm also contacted Eibach UK direct and got the same number.

Springs fitted give good ride quality, not as harsh as the HR springs on my A4 only down side I preferred the look of the A4 with HR springs fitted. Given the choice Id side with comfort.

On the spacers front I definitely think they will improve the look especially of the rear, somewhere in the 20mm mark maybe the answer I think.

Just an update from my end.

Iv just ordered the springs and booked the car in at Awesome GTI a week on saturday for the Eibach Lowering Springs to be fitted.

The Eibach will lower the front 25mm and the rear 20mm. The total for the springs fitted and wheels aligned is £327 which I think is a great price. This price however was due to there black friday sale so not sure if they would do it for others.

Heres a photo of the H&R coilover I think, too low on the back I think but should think that can be raised:
