Hello all!

Three weeks ago I ordered a 5-door 75ps Elegance in Candy White with multimedia pack, privacy glass and spare wheel

 

My hubby started a new job in July which meant he is away from home all week and as such, has the car - a 12 year old Felicia which is starting to look a little shabby but is the perfect workhorse and has never missed a beat.

I'm not new to Skoda having owned a lovely '04 Octavia VRS estate and a brand new '06 Roomster in the past.  My mum has a boggy basic Fabia with the 3-cyl engine and my son loves me to put my foot down when we borrow it as he says it's sounds like a sports car!  I must admit it does have that familiar porsche rasp which is rather fun and I'm hoping the Citigo will sound the same (after running her in of course )

 

I was given a 15 week delivery estimate which is maddening, especially when you have no wheels but hey ho, I shall be patient (probably).  I reckon with Crimbo it'll be a mid to late Jan delivery but we shall see.

 

Looking forward to posting some pics when she finally arrives

I ordered mine on 30th september and after a chat with dealer this morning they have said delivery is likely to be late feb/early march, which is a shame but nothing i can do :(

You'll find your Citigo has that Porsche sounding rasp you mention as well...its great

Really? I ordered mine last week so I doubt that the dealer's promise of "by Christmas" has any hope of being true then.

Depends if its one thats already in the system or has a build week. Mine currently doesnt have a build week and they dont expect it to for a week or so :(

Oh dear, doesn't sound good :(  the only advantage I guess with a March delivery would be a 14 plate but I'd rather not wait that long!

im the same way, hopefully the Mr's corsa can last until then when he will be having my monte!  if delivery looks like middle of feb i'll ask dealer to keep it so i can have new plate seeing as i'll have waited a while...  :think:

Blimey!  Just had a call from the dealer - yes, he called me, no prompting required - my car has a build date of week 48 which means I may have the car before Christmas.  I wonder if it'll come gift-wrapped...

Thats awesome! wish mine would have a build week wont hear til next week sometime as man who usually deals with me is currently in hospital after a shoulder op so dont think i will get an update til midweek when hes back and cleared a backlog of stuff :(

weve had 0% finance deal on here and think its pushed orders through roof so struggling to meet demand with 12 week delivery est such a shame with the delays but hey ho good cars

I ordered mine mid July and collected it last Friday...and the factory was on holiday in between times so keep your fingers crossed.

 

Regarding the engine sound, they do so that a triple is half a six rather than a four cylinder minus one.  And a six cylinder engine is one of the smoothest configurations.

Yeah, however I cant fault then phoned last week to check and someone phoned back to explain situation etc. Would be easoer to have the other salesmen phone but they also have a fair amount of people to keep an eye on so its not a major deal seeibg as the wait im likely to have.
