I'm new.

Ok you guys [and gals] I bought an almost new 2012 Superb Estate 4x4 2.0 diesel in July with 9k on the clock from a Skoda main agents. There was a slight brake shudder that i put down to rust on the discs due to it being parked up, i thought it would clear itself with use but it didn't. I took it to my local Skoda main agents[not where i bought the car]explained the problem and expected it to get fixed under warranty only to be told "It's not covered, it's wear and tear and it'll cost £500!".

I'm taking it back to the agents i bought it from tomorrow hoping they'll fix it as it apparently needs 4 discs and pads all round.

The question is, IS A WARRANTY WORTH ANYTHING ?? I know things wear out with use but on a car with 10k and less than 12 months old surely they can't say 'wear and tear'. I suppose whatever goes wrong could be classed as wear and tear because it gets used when you take the car out. On the good side so far i've found both Skoda agents helpful, but i'll let you know how i get on tomorrow, might change my mind LOL.
