dump valve for the octavia vrs

Featured Replies

has any one fitted a dump valve to there octavia vrs ?

are they easy to fit and are they loud

Genrally the VAG 1.8T engine doesnt have a loud dump valve as it uses a recirculating type not atmostpheric.

However if a CAI is fitted such as the Carbonio they do sound rather nice.

I have a Bailey DV30 fitted to my remapped 1.8T. This is an aluminium finish piston re-circulating dump valve without no auduble 'whoosh' - to quote Bailey's site below:

Think they are mistaken! lol, Well with a CAI they certianly are loud!

I have a Hyperboost HX DV which didn't make a noise until I got a Carbonio CAI and now it does make a noise.

I've Forge on my remapped Octy - you can just hear it if the windows are open and there's no ICE on!
