Was just wondering now i have sold my mk1 vrs and have a mk2 i may as well sell my spare front bumper,it has a little scrape on it and really needs painting.What is it worth and are they sort after or not??

Hmmm, not so sure since they're readily available new still, but the bump strip out of the middle is impossible to get hold of if that's in good nick. The new replacement ones don't fit quite so well (slight gap at each end). I know this having recently accidentally stuffed mine into a wall. :(

 

The scrape will affect the value massively, since paint jobs are not cheap. A litre of paint alone is pretty costly these days.

Its not a heavy scrape, any idea how much i should ask ?

Well how heavy the scrape isn't so much the issue. Prep work is pretty easy, albeit slow. The expensive bit is the prepping and painting of the whole thing. If the scrape is bad enough to require painting, then the value doesn't really get affected by the scrape being worse, unless it is ruined.

 

You'd be lucky to realise £75 really, given that a spray job will be at least £150, or slightly more if the scrape requires filling (and more still for a quality job)

I don't know about the Octy but the MkI Fabia had two yellows, early models had a 'flatter yellow' called Lemon Yellow. The later ones had a more 'popping out' Sprint Yellow which are rarer than the Fabia SE.

That explains why so many yellow Fabia vRS look like the paint's faded - they're supposed to!

Got the bumper from my storage place and tbh its barely scratch at all,just one of the corners has a slight bend on it which i am very sure with a bit of heat would repair
