wanting that bit more power

Featured Replies

I have had my car remapped now for a few month to around 170 bhp and wanting abit more power but don't have the money for that. Is there any cheaper ways to get that extra power or is it worth my while saving my money until I have enough to go hybrid????

save the cash (if you don't have it) and wait until you can afford to take a proper step.

Have you got the cupra air pipe? De fin the air box, intercooler pikey mod. Won't give you loads more power but might make it run a bit better and hold its power more when warm

All I have is the map so looks like I'm going to have to save up :( lol

What's the intercooler pikey mod?

Put a cheap vent in the wheel arch to let all the hot air out and cut the plastic around the fog light too let more air pass through. I have recently sold my fabia so can't put a pic up sorry

Well I have an ibiza fr and I'm pretty sure I have a vent in my arch already as standard?

Its not all about power to go faster unless you want that extra punch but even so you should be upgrading your suspension, brakes ,maybe anti roll bar and some better tyres if you want your car to be faster all round.

Exactly joe :) no point having power if you've got ditch finders haha

Deffo agree get the brakes and suspension sorted so you can drive it quicker. Maybe get it decatted too, sure someone will weld a pipe in for about £20 then weigh the cat in for about £50,spools up quicker with a decat

yeah the ibiza does have one as standard but the fabia doesn't for some reason
