how to make your Octavia 2 look like a 3

Featured Replies

I'm in no way an expert with photo doctoring but I have always thought that the mk2 grill could be made to look like the mk 3. Had a play about on my phone, it's not the best picture but might get an idea.Screenshots_2013-10-20-11-48-14.png

It may be a MkIII grill but that won't make it a MkIII.

Save your pennies and buy a MkIII

Thats the thing it's not a mk 3 grill its a sprayed mk 2

I think that a few have already done that, i.e.

Colour code the grill and fit eyebrow covers (from Superskoda)

The whole grill is not colour coded. Just the top bit then the bottom bit black

The whole Mk III thing aside I like that on a white one, grill surround white at top and black sides and bottom.

I know I'm old fashioned but I still prefer the pre FL Mk. 2 to any of them.

I know its all very much a personal thing, but I was really disappointed with the Mk 3 - I think the swept back lights of the FL model looks so much better.   The new one has gone a bit american bland chrysler looking I think.  It does look more modern (but over styled angles) on the back, but the front has no lines IMO.

Good news for us then :D

Me too! My thoughts on seeing the thread title was why would anyone want to make a MkII look like a MkIII ;)
