Service plan on Skoda finance

Featured Replies

I'm sure I saw the other day on a thread (not sure which) someone saying that getting a skoda on finance you get a 3yr/30k miles free servicing plan.

Looking at my documents I've only got a 2yr/20,000mile service plan (which is finished now). Is the above correct of all Skoda's/Fabia's or have I misunderstood that? I've got a 2011 Skoda Fabia vRS.

Thanks for any information.

It's 3yrs for new cars, 2yrs for anything bought used.

Best check with a dealer and see what the car is Registered with Dealers or Skoda for and if 2 years or 3,

just incase it should have been 3 years with your agreement and just wrongly inputted.

There are various free deals with new and used car deals & point of purchase,

then the Service plans people purchase as an extra.

Example of a recent deal.

Ah man! I guess mine was classed as a used then, picked it up with 10miles on the clock :(

Shame, not looking forward the 30,000mile service! Is it recommended while the car is in warranty to cough up and pay for it at Skoda? Get book stamped etc, or save myself some money and do most of it myself?

Was the car already registered to the Dealer or are you the first registered keeper.?

New car if you are first registered keeper.

The 3 year/30,000 mile service is a 'Minor Service' & the National Pricing is £129.

The Pollen filter should have been done at 2 years/20,000 mile 'Inspection Service.'

Brake Fluid needs doing at 3 years,

& that is £45 under the National Pricing Skoda offer, or cheaper if the Dealer will do it cheaper. so £129 + £45,

£174 or try to get this cheaper.

£39 MOT with the Skoda offer.

*I  would seriously suggest you look at getting your Spark Plugs changed before waiting for 40,000 miles,

but its your own choice, they could be fine and just go by the Skoda Schedule.*

Great, thank you George. I for some reason thought it was a big service. May do it myself yet then.

If you want the Warranty covering the car to the full 3 years you need the Service done by a VAT registered garage/person.

You may also get a gesture from Skoda out of Warranty if the full Service Schedule was followed.

If you are taking an Extended Warranty with Skoda or anyone else, the car needs serviced as per Schedule.

a 2 year extended Warranty is available for £547.

As George says you cant self service otherwise you'll void your warranty
