I think they (films, tv games etc.) are pushing boundaries to allow viewers to experience the emotional reality of the experience they are trying to portray. We are lucky to have toy cars, but it;s fair to say that there are so many limiting factors on ownership and usage that I can understand why such toys are being added. It's no more fake than the spoilers on these cars that do nothing. I'd far prefer the real thing, but understand that these are not going anywhere. Especially with electric cars on the way!
