VRS 3 year residuals seem way off

Just been looking at the 3 year value for the VRS (part ex price) given for the VRS on parkers of

I think it is predicted. When the Fabia vrs is 3, the market will be relatively flooded with them. Prices will drop then im quite sure.

The Fabia is a lot more popular than the FR/Sport so the residuals will be less, also given that the Fabia costs less to begin with, that also means it will be woth less (although it would be roughly thwe same as a percantage from new

so why are the used prices so expensive still?? current demand? lack of used models?

seeing as you can pick up a brand spanker for just over 11k this seems the best option to me at present.

It seems a 1 year old VRS is worth

It basically comes down to supply and demand. Over the last few months, the Fabia has been getting rave reviews, lots of TV coverage by motoring programmes and Skoda have also increased their marketing effort which means that there is a higher demand for the car so people are happy to pay a premium for a 2nd hand car rather than wait 6-8 weeks for a factory build.

In 3 years time, I suspect that most of the people who bought them new will be looking to sell them as their warranties run out and this will mean that the 2nd hand market is flooded with them, which will in turn means it's a buyers market and prices plummet, similar to what has happened with the Octy vRS.....

Will be interesting to see what happens :D
