Another bulb question - new Osrams

Featured Replies

Sorry, ANOTHER bulb topic...

Has anybody tried the new Osram Nightbreaker Unlimited?  They are the new version of the Plus and twice the price.

I didn't know they existed until I stumbled across them on t'internet...now I'm torn...Plus or super duper Unlimited

Packaging says 110% more light, 40m longer beam, 20% whiter light

Wonder what they'll call the next upgraded version?

Also, does anybody bother to change the foglight HB4's?  I notice Osram do a nice matching pair of Nightbreakers at £30 but that's a lot of pennies and I'm not one of these types to drive around with my fogs on unless I actually need them...then I'm guessing as it's foggy nobody would actually notice that they didn't match??? :mmm:

The figures you quote are the comparison with the standard bulb...there's not much of an improvement over Nightbreaker Plus. And I have a feeling that not only your wallet will suffer... I think bulb life will be shorter too.

And, no...haven't even considered the foglamp bulbs...I hardly ever use them.

Auto Express did a headlight bulb comparison test in todays edition, top bulbs were=

Up to 60  per cent category=Philips Vision Plus,Ring ultraxenon,Osram Silverstar 2.0

Over 60 per cent category=Philips X-treme Vision,Ring xenonmax,GE Megalight Ultra +120

I ordered the MTEC DRL's and Nightbreaker Plus from HIDS direct yesterday... Just waiting on the car now!!

My order from HIDS-direct arrived I6 hours after I ordered!  4pm to 8am next day...Manchester (I think) to the South...brilliant service and brilliant lamps.

Yes, never had a problem buying from there, good company

Bulbs turned up today YAY!  Just need a car to put them on now :(

I have just done the Osram Night breaker plus and Mtec upgrade.

Total outlay £21.50.

Money well spent as it looks much better.

Nice one mate

Looks like Billbow Baggin's some bargains then...  :p

I'll get me coat    :D

...and you can make it look even better if you replace those terrible cheap-looking amber front indicators with Philips Silvervision...much classier.

Won't really look any better when you have Blue bulbs fitted on the inner side.
