Anyone any experience of the Sony DCR-DVD 7E or DCR-PC55E??

Look quite funky but I know very little about them. Not really into editing just point, capture, playback, burn some copies for friends / family etc so the DVD type seem ideal.

Anyone any thoughts??

No direct experience of those, but a couple of years back, I wanted a camcorder and did some extensive testing of various makes and models. The Sony was my favourite out of all the makes and felt better quality and just the right weight to use .... I opted for the Sony DCR-TRV33 and I've never looked back
