First time skoda owner octavia vrs estate

Featured Replies

Would just like to say hello to everyone. I know the best place for any information is an owners club, so now just buying my first Skoda this has to be the place to come and join. I hope you can welcome me into the fold.

I guess I should tell you a little bit about myself and the car I just purchased, it's a pre registered 63 plate Octavia tdi vrs estate, should pick it up in a week or so, it is however the older shape mk2 I think, it's the blue colour that seems very common on these cars , but it is quite nice. Sadly the vrs that I purchased was pretty standard and had no options fitted, but I thought a car with 30 miles on the clock was a better choice than a year old car with a few options and 8k, well in my mind anyways, Maybe looking in the future to maybe get some extra's retrofitted if it is at all possible. Parking sensors would be handy for a start.

Getting a Skoda Vrs was not something I had been planning on doing. I had been looking at BMW 320d m sports, but I just test drove a Octavia Vrs just to confirm to myself that they were not up to much and boy was I really surprised how much I liked it, so within 5 days of my first test drive of a vrs I had purchased one. Main reason for an estate is a 15 month old child, so needed the extra boot space for the never ending amount of things that need to be taken with you everywhere, like prams and toys. As I said the Vrs I purchased was bog standard, it didn't even come with the rear quarter tinted windows which is an extra it seems. I don't suppose anyone can recommend a good place to buy and get these fitted in the Kent area, as this is the first thing I would like to get done to this car,

hopefully I have made a good decision in buying this car and will be a happy Skoda owner for years to come.

Thanks in advance
