Just how close are these two cars in regards to suspension set ups? Just been looking at air ride kits and can't find much for an Octi (Well there is air ride .co.uk, but from their emails with "lols" and not really listing to a potential customer, I don't think I really want to deal with them.)

 

I did notice on Air-lift that their Golf mk5 kit, looks pretty much alike to Air rides Octi kit. Can anyone confirm the two cars share the same suspension layout?

If it's a mk1 Octavia, no. Mk2 is similar but then it depends on what strut size the kit has. As there are 50 or 55mm front struts for mk5 Golf platform cars. So you'll need to do more research!

The struts in this kit are only 55mm, Now to find what the Octi has!

In short yes, the ocy weighs a little more but you should be fine as longs as its not the estate.

I *Think* my struts are 55mm, Can anyone confirm an 04 Octi is 55mm?

The VRS is 55 and the rest are 50 if I'm not mis-taken
