I have a vrs on a 56 plate that I have been told by a reputable person is unsuitable for an lpg conversion. Does anyone know the reason why this is true. The mechanic said it has something to do with the injector system on this particular year.

It's not impossible, but direct injection on the whole is the cause of all 'difficulties' (fuel pump lubrication, etc.).

Their have been a few people around here that converted the 1.2tsi engine and troubles beyond troubles.
