why not each to there own

True just seems like a lot of work.

And ended up as most projects do - unfinished and for sale, lol!

Check out the tidy cream carpet!

Loving the vrs badge

I could understand it if he wanted the looks of the vRS but the economy of the diesel* and just fitted the vRS bumpers, spoilers, interior and alloys but he's fitted the engine and suspension etc from a vRS as well.  Seems a hell of a lot of work to make something that'll never be worth as much as a proper vRS (and a mark 1 vRS is hardly expensive in the first place).

*something I did back in the 90s, I had a 205 GTi lookalike with a 1.8 derv lump, an Escort Turbo lookalike with a 1.3 petrol engine and a Sierra Sapphire GLS lookalike with a 1.8 CVH.  None of them were exactly fast (although I used to hit higher average speeds back then with 60bhp than I do now with 180bhp, due to youthful exuberance and/or stupidity), but they were cheap to run and insure (with declared modifications too, I hasten to add), looked the part and kept me mobile until I could afford a proper fast car.

Just seems alot of work for not alot, why not just buy the vrs in the first place as i doubt you could buy a bent one and transfer all bits over for price of a decent one now,

He should have put engine and running gear in that mk2 golf in picture

People have said they thought mine was a rep because I have no exhaust hanging out the back and have black brake calipers but then I point out the vrs is hardly exclusive or expensive so why would i bother making a rep lol

Surely the only reason why anyone would do this is to cheat the insurance. Otherwise it's  a complete waste of time

What a heap!

Seems to be alot of work to get this to be a decent VRS. Each to there own though.

On its way to Lithuania now apparently. Sounds like he's had a few interesting messages on eBay.
