I used to kite there ;)

Good grief the tide is mental!!!!

I had a terrible day yesterday, very strong winds meant I couldn't keep the camera pointing at the subject, it was single figures temperature and the wind blew straight up my lens leaving salt all over it. But the worst part.....

......that weird beach. The cocklers were quite happy much further up the beach, but where the Kite boys go is covered with lagoons. It is also a very gentle slop so the tide goes out for miles (well probably a large percentage of a mile)/ The scary thing is you can't get near the surfers owing to the shallow depth of water at low tide forcing them out further and then you have to watch your back as when the tide comes in, it quickly fills the lagoons which separate you from the beach. It's easy to see how people can become stranded on these beaches. I took the cautions approach and didn't hang about too long.

Still haven't seen any of those Kite buggies yet though :(
