Fresh grill badge

Featured Replies

My grill badge like many other has gone manky over the years. I've bought a fresh OEM badge to replace it.

Any one have a guide to changing it, before I snap something?

Cheers

I used a mixture of Autosmart tardis, a hairdryer and a flathead screw driver

Thanks Jars, So like debadging then? No need to remove the grill?

I took the front grill sorround out (very easy and meant i could work on it indoors)

I then heated the badge with a heat gun on a low setting, slid some cotton under the badge then cut the glue like using cheese wire, heat and repeat

I just used a hairdryer, if it feels like something's going to snap just keep heating it.

Yeah exactly like that Bowen. I had the grill off to paint at the same time which helped gauge how much pressure I was applying so not to break it! Yeah I broke a couple of the grill clips.... heavy handed ape :giggle:
