Can a standard clutch handle stage 2 ?

Featured Replies

Hi all just wondering if my vrs standard clutch can handle stage 2 the clutch and flywheel are less than 1000 k old and are genuine vag parts just need to no how long it would take for it to eat the clutch with a rtec stage 2 map cheers

Me thinks you have done the whole clutch and remapping exercise back to front. But hey stage two is awesome have fun.

Depends how you drive it! My clutch lasted 120,000km with stage 1 map from about 15,000 and stage 2 from about 90,000

When it came out:

Simple answer is yes................

This does however depend on how you are going drive it. If you are one for fast pull away's and riding clutch etc etc then the std clutch will get eaten.

I had stage 2 REVO map which are quite aggressive on a std DMF and clutch no worries with 140,000+ on it.
