Automatic Transmission oil change - 2002 Octavia 1.8T

Featured Replies

Hello guys,

I have a 2002 Octavia LK 1.8T automatic transsmision with 60,000kms. My regular mechanic advise me to change the transmission oil/filter.

Can you guys help me with the part numbers of the parts I need for this job. The Skoda dealer dont want to give me the parts number and they sell the parts and oil very expensive!

Also whats is the special automatic fluid/oil I need. What is the VAG approved numbers I need to check on the bag of the oil bottle.  I can get here in my country Castrol, Motul, Penzoil but I dont know the VAG approved numbers that my Auto trans need.

I can order these parts from USA from a VW dealer at better prices but they need the part numbers.

If you need additional info on my car, please let me know.

THX for your time and help.

Isaac

Hey Cheshire Cat,

Thx for your help.

I found this 01M 4 Speed Atomatic Transmission Fluid change Procedure

http://pics2.tdiclub.com/gwillie/VW/autoFluidchange.pdf   but they do not mention the O ring you recomend me 095 325 381A. Do I need this part?

Also, regarding the ATF fluid, I was checking VW G 052 162 or VW TL52162 and found here in my country LIQUI MOLY brand and it say it meet VW Specs. Is made in Germany so I think is a good stuff.

LIQUI MOLY Top Tec ATF 1200

THX,

Isaac

looks like you don't need the o ring ---I've not done this job so wasn't sure -----I'd be more than happy to use the L/Moly    all other stuff in the how-to (part no's) seems to match (which is nice) :-)     great find on the how-to -- from FRED'S?     cheers for now  Nic       p.s. guess you could do the diff oil at the same time
