hiya guys after just fitting the vr6 clutch and g60 flywheel it looks like even though i payed garage to change gearbox oil its black and doesnt look like its been done for years so which is the best gearbox oil to pick up for the octy vrs thanks guys

Std Dealer stuff is good buddy.

 

I put this in mine after recommendation and love it.

 

Gearbox will take around 2 litres

thanks mate so reckon a trip to tps is on as they should sell genuine vw gearbox oil shouldnt they

Agreed everything I read up said OEM is best. My LSD manufacturer also says the same. Hang on that sounds really dodgy.

Genuine oil from the dealer is best,i made the mistake of using oil from my motor factor & it made my box notchy & 2nd gear crunched when cold,drained it & put genuine dealer oil in & it was so much better.

Although not knocking oem oil as was using that before, but this stuff made my gearshift noticeably better.

Stick with OEM mate. Brass synchro won't appreciate the wrong stuff
