I might be up for this, all depends on when we start on the turbo work over winter, I will see my mechanic this weekend and let you know.

Are there any track days or events for people who have never been to one before?

 

I just bought a new Fabia VRS and wouldn't mind trying it out on a track day, are there specific 'noob' track days for people like me to learn track day etiquette?

Sorry, too soon.  Be interested in Cadwell during January/February though.  Currently my favourite UK track.

I'd suggest maybe looking at some videos of Cadwell before deciding whether or not to lose your track virginity there - I've seen some, and there are some corners with very little run-off, so could be a little daunting

Bedford is quite forgiving by comparison

Agree with what Brimma said about there not being much run-off in areas, but it is a fantastic track.  Maybe not ideal for a first timer, but I would highly recommend doing a Javelin day as they marshal their days very well.  My first day was with Focused Events at Donington and scared me sh*tless :(

 

Cadwell is brilliant fun, but wont be back until next year - would I still be allowed to join you guys even though I drive a Honda...?

I broke my track virginity at the nurburgrig this year, that was an experience never to be forgotten!

I'll be attending some track days next year, be good to fianlly meet some fellow fabia track dayers.
