I have had my new baby (1.6 TDI DSG Elegance Hatch) for 1 week now and, so far, really impressed.

 

However, I have just had wheels changed from 17" Denoms to 16" steel wheels for winter and am looking for some decent wheel trims to soften the ugliness of the steel!!

 

 

Does anyone have any recommendations?

 

Are any Skoda branded ones any good?

Did you get genuine VAG steel wheels, if so do you have a part number as 2 dealers have told me the part numbers for the Octavia III 16" steels are different to the Octavia II ones, even though they are the same PCD and ET! Oh, and they are on backorder from Skoda.

Both the Octy II & III can use 6Jx16 ET50 steel rims for 205/55 winter tyres as can the Yeti and I believe the Superb II.

 

Octy III wheels trims for this rim size are;

 

Hub covers Nordic (5E0 071 456)

 

Yeti wheel trims for this rim size are;

 

Hub covers Cold (CDB 630 001)

 

Also found Rif wheel trims from the Superb and Yeti will fit, albeit a snug fit, as they are designed for 7J rims (3T0 601 147 MHB (CDB 800 001).

Here is my Octi with steel wheels. The steels are 16" and et33. It looks a little more impressive due to the increased width.
